MicroSludge is a patented product designed for wastewater treatment plants to reduce sludge for disposal and enable the generation of renewable energy and valuable bio-chemicals. It works by significantly enhancing the performance of anaerobic digesters to convert sludge to biogas and to increase the capacity of existing infrastructure.
MicroSludge uses one or more high pressure homogenizers (cell disrupters) to pre-treat sludge prior to anaerobic or aerobic digestion.

Homogenizers have been used for decades as a reliable and robust processing solution in the food, dairy, cosmetic, chemical, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries. Paradigm has taken this “time honoured” hardware and applied it to wastewater treatment to dramatically decrease waste residuals for disposal while generating more biogas as a renewable source of energy.
Paradigm’s strategic partner, APV manufactures over 50% of the world’s homogenizers. APV Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of SPX Corporation (NYSE:SPW).
